The house was built in 2000, and the interior had a cottage feel. It was beautifully done, and materials were top notch, but unfortunately it wasnt modern enough for our taste, so it had to be taken down. We were fortunate enough to find a nice home for the cabinets, so nothing was wasted. it was a complete gut, plumbing, electrical, walls, fixtures, ceramic, everything had to go… and then we found mold.
one of the walls was completely rotten out, you could poke your finer completely through the exterior sheeting, it was bad … turned out the stucco and the water flashing wasnt done properly on that side of the house, the exterior had to be completely redone… so the kitchen was put on hold.
After the acrylic stucco was re-done on the outside, we got to finish the kitchen, our camera was still packed in boxes somewhere so we didn’t take a lot of pictures during the process, but here is the almost-finished result:
We ended up making a backsplash a couple of years later, it turned out really good!
